  • 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 45 bags of herbal tea)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add lemon balm leaves or herbal tea bags. Steep for 10-15 minutes for desired strength.
  3. Strain the tea to remove leaves or bags; stir in honey while warm if using.
  4. Cool the tea to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  5. Serve by filling glasses with ice cubes and pouring chilled tea over them.
  6. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon.
