  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup whipped coconut cream
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of hot water in a small bowl until smooth and lump-free.
  2. In a saucepan, heat almond milk over medium heat until warm; then remove from heat and stir in sweetener and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually pour the warm almond milk mixture into the whisked matcha while stirring continuously.
  4. For frothiness, use a milk frother or whisk vigorously.
